I don’t know whether it’s a good or a bad idea but we’ve left ourselves a couple of windows so we can see what’s happening outside. As I boarded up the house yesterday it, of course, got darker and darker inside. There’s a real psychological impact in this. Jackie and I both felt it. I had already intended to leave a window and one side of the patio doors open till today and even with them letting in light Jackie was feeling a little claustrophobic. I decided today to leave us a bit of a view even in the storm. It may be a really bad idea and those openings may let wind get in and rip off the portion of the plywood that is there but we felt we needed to do it anyway. That’s another “time will tell” decision…that is, unless the Hurricane Ike takes a hike!
